Who are you and what do you actually do?
Since its founding in 2012, the Projektraum Hole of Fame has been a hub of Dresden’s independent cultural scene. We are an association of grassroots cultural activists who organize and maintain the Hole of Fame through volunteer work. This means we set our own thematic focuses, curate the program, and support others in realizing their projects on site.

Can I join your team?
Absolutely! We are always looking for new and motivated members. We hold an open plenary meeting every Monday at 7:00 PM. Just drop by!

Can I organize an event with you?
Just get in touch with us. Depending on what you would like to do, please send a project outline to:

If your idea fits both our concept and our schedule, we will invite you to get to know each other and discuss the next steps.

Can I rent the Hole for work meetings?
We are happy to rent out our 70 sqm space for semi-public workshops or internal work meetings. We provide chairs, tables, and a projector. If you are interested, please send an inquiry to: post@holeoffame.de

What about private events?
The Hole is a public space and is therefore not available for private events. No, really.

How do you finance yourselves?
We mainly cover our basic expenses (rent, infrastructure, electricity, etc.) through donations, bar revenue, and external room rentals. At the moment, we need around 1300 euros per month for this.

Do you charge room rental fees?
Generally not. However, if it is possible to obtain rental funding through grants or other means, it helps secure the long-term future of the Hole.

What about volume levels and opening hours?
Please keep in mind that we are located in a completely normal residential building, and even in Dresden’s Neustadt there are neighbors who want to sleep. Therefore, we cannot host full-band shows, very loud concerts, or parties. It should become noticeably quieter by 10 PM at the latest.

How much is admission?
Our events operate on a donation basis, also known as a voluntary cultural contribution. These contributions allow us to pay artists and cover costs such as GEMA fees.

What else should I know?
We exist because people are motivated to support Dresden’s cultural scene through volunteer work and donations. We have a few regular recurring formats, but otherwise there is always something new to discover every week. No space for racism, antisemitism, ableism, sexism, queerphobia, or any other forms of discrimination and social exclusion!
